Valentine’s Day Paper Flowers Craft

Whether you love, hate or are indifferent towards Valentine’s Day, I think you may still find my latest craft idea interesting.  It can easily be adjusted for any time of year or holiday!

My kids love it when I decorate a little for each holiday so I make an effort to do a little something with hearts and red accents this time of year.

I originally set out to do something completely different with my paper muffin cups but then I came up with this Valentine’s Day paper flowers craft idea.  It’s so simple and adds a fun punch of color for the holiday.

These paper flowers were so simple to make and didn’t take very long.

Materials:

    • paper muffin cups
    • green covered floral wire
    • hot glue
    • green ribbon

It’s easier to show you with a video how to make these.  They are very simple to make, just hard to describe!  Click on the link to see my video tutorial (A big thanks to my daughter for being my videographer and editor!):

The paper flowers can be used to decorate for Valentine’s Day or can be given as a sweet teacher’s gift!

It would also be fun to make some for Spring.  I think they would be cute in a little Easter basket!

As much as I adore real flowers, I love the fact that these won’t wilt or die before the holiday.

Happy Crafting!

Julie, I just adore your cupcake paper flowers. There are so many things to do with those little papers that turn out adorable. Have you ever seen that at Michael’s they often have really cute ones for $1.00 or $1.50 up at the front bins?

These are very sweet and you are right–they add a perfect splash of color for Valentine’s Day! I think I may just make some yellow ones (like daffodils) as I have spring fever! They would look so cute sitting on my kitchen windowsill!
