Fresh Spring Vignette

Things are slowly getting back to normal here after being gone for 8 days in Germany.  It’s funny how preparing for a trip and returning home can make life super crazy and messy.

However, my trip to Germany got me in the mood to do a little Easter decorating.  I shared a few spring displays I saw in Germany on Facebook and Instagram while I was away.  The Germans are excellent at making Spring and Easter look understatedly (is that a word?) amazing.

I bought a couple of spring goodies while I was there and was anxious to get to work on a fresh spring vignette to display my new treasures.

I found the little pewter bunnies in a shop in Heidelberg and just had to take them home.

They are not real pewter but I think they’re a very close imitation.

I made the twiggy bird’s nest (the tutorial is coming on Friday) and added the little clip-on wooden bird that I found at the Villeroy & Boch store in Heidelberg.

Unlike the floral displays I saw in Germany, my tulips are faux.  Of course, I love fresh the best but fake flowers can still give a spring-like fresh feel when you don’t have the real thing.

Just a few simple touches is all it takes to bring a little spring and Easter on to my coffee table.

Hi Julie! I’m stopping by from my blog. Your Spring vignette is lovely! The little bunnies are adorable! My husband’s friend owns a pewter shop here in CT and your bunnies look like real pewter. Beautiful find!
    Happy Thursday!
