But, I don't want to spend money to solve the problem so I try to figure out how I can make it work with something I already have or with something I can make myself.
Such was the case with my DIY fall branches.
My mantel needed a little height because of my 20-foot ceilings.
So I went out in to my backyard, pulled some dead branches off of my oak tree and got to work with some faux leaves I already had and some hot glue.
It's a super easy craft that takes just a few minutes.
But, I will warn you...it's easy to get burned.
Keep a small bowl full of water with ice cubes nearby.
When you get burned you can quickly submerge your finger and avoid further damage from the hot glue.
Even with a minor burn on my finger, I love this craft.
I think it gave a big impact for no money.
Love that!
Here's to doing it yourself!

What a great idea; I love it! That vase is so pretty. Is it metal?
ReplyDeleteYes, it's a metal vase I found at Michael's a couple of years ago.
DeleteMy fingers are so tough from all the times I've been burned from hot glue I'm surprised I still have fingerprints.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that the truth?! Yet, I still hot glue things....
