A Little Valentine’s Day Door Decor

I typically don’t do much to decorate for Valentine’s Day.

I used to give the kids those little vinyl window clings and let them go crazy with them on the windows and doors.

But, I guess we need new ones because our oldies don’t stick so well anymore.

So, this year, while browsing through one of my favorite little shops, I came across this corrugated metal heart.  I decided it needed to be my Valentine this year.
I filled my willow basket with some super-marked-down faux evergreen filler from Michaels to give it a winter-but-hopefully-not-too-Christmasy kind of look.  Then, I hung my cute little heart in the front.

Super simple, nothing fancy, just my style.

Sweet idea! I’ve been trying to think of a quick door decoration but didn’t feel like making a wreath. I just happen to have a door basket I forgot about. Think I’ll use it…today! Thank you for the inspiration. Of course, I don’t have a gorgeous heart like yours, but oh well. I’ll think of something 😉

    Pinning and sharing 🙂

Just perfect Julie. I think I have all the goodies to copy that look.

  3. Julie, I love your metal heart! It looks great on the basket of greens. I’m going to copy you and fill my basket and look for a heart decoration!
